This is a great idea! Having watched the ones available on the web site many, many times, it would be great to see some more created. Personally, it would be great if a selection were made available so that we could choose, lets say 5 classes from a list of many more and download them to our own personal storage media. The cost would depend on the time needed to complete the video class, yet, hopefully, reasonably priced. This would create thousands of personalized libraries that many of us VITA-MIX LOVERS could only dream of.
As far as what to learn about. There are so many new ideas I come across every day, that I believe the possibilities are endless. Areas of interest may be ethnic meals from start to finish, life style menus, catergories like sauces, beverages, soups, desserts, etc, etc, etc.
For those thinking of proceeding with home Vita-Mix parties. There could be theme parties and the hostess would receive a DVD of the cooking classes that match their party's theme. Wow, I could go on and on. So as not to be boring, I hope this becomes a reality!

I would love to watch cooking classes on video! I am currently struggilng
Thanks! Can't wait for the videos!
I really like this idea. It would be great to be able to get together with other Vita-Mix users to share tips, recipes etc.
Would it be possible for Vita-Mix to help set up local/regional groups? I live in the North East of England and it was very difficult to even find a demonstration. Most classes seem to be down south in the London area so I'm relying heavily on Vita-Village advice and my own trial and error.
I'm sure food ingredients differ in the UK so the results will be different too. I've had a good laugh at the names of some of the ingredients in the recipe books and I've had to research a lot on the Internet. I'm sure this leads to problems using the recipes. It would be good to be able to discuss this with people and share information.
My most successful recipe is one I watched a UK demonstrator produce on the UK Vita-Mix website. I think that says a lot. It was his demo that convinced me to buy the Vita-Mix.
What would be good is if you do have a video class then have someone inexperienced alongside the demonstrator asking them questions the way they do in cookery programmes. People watching demos don't ask questions. It's only when you get a machine you have lots of questions you want to ask about the recipes.
I just got my VitaMix today at the office. I can not wait to go home now!
I purchased it because of my decision to go to a raw vegan diet. I have been trying to eliminate all the processed junk out of my diet for years - including the toxic additional ingredients found in many foods, dressings and sauces.
I would love to see some organic, raw recipies, perhaps even a weekly menu listing so we can be sure that we are getting all of the vitamins, minerals and nutrients we need to stay healthy. My largest challenge for the last ten years is that I developed an allergy to all seafood! :(
When ever I try to assemble a reasonable eating plan to keep my lipids and sugar low I find "eat this or that seafood" in my research - come on dieticians, not everyone can eat fish!
I ended up in the hospital with chest pains due to a perscription for fish oil to raise my HDL! So typical of the medical profession - here - take this to cure that symptom. Oh - now take that to correct your new issues. ARRGGHHHHH
I just want a good, healthy meal plan WITHOUT seafood and animal products please!

I was surprised that not more recipes in the book addressed food allergies/
For me, healthy food does NOT include sugar!!! I was surprised to see so many recipes that called for sugar.
Also, when I eat grains, I always try to eat it soaked or sprouted. There are recipes out there for making sprouted bread, crackers, cookies, etc... but would love to see them tailored to the vitamix. I am working on a sprouted bread and cereal recipe right now for the machine.
I am new to the vitamix family. I want to focus on weight loss and getting this machine has helped me loose 5 pounds in the last week. It is important to me to find as many recipes as possible that cut out all sugar and use sugar substitute
It is also important for me to find breads I can bake that do not have such a high calorie count. I am still looking through the multitude of recipes on the site. I would be willing to pay for videos. The more I know about my machine the better I can utilize it.
Having groups to contact or cook from my area would also be helpful. I am in South Metro Atlanta.
Thanks
:)
