They are a bit pricy but, save up your money and get one.  The money you will save on expensive smoothies, ice cream, soups, vegi mixes and tons more will make you totally forget how much you paid.  My first one was $400 or so.  It was hard to swallow till I got it home.  I have never had one moment of regret.  This product is a throw back to the days when companies did what they advertise.  There has never been one second of bad anything with Vita Mix.  Ive had repairs and such but no problems at all.  They are so kind and happy to help you out.

I simply love my machines.  We gave one to our son as a going away gift when he went to college.  Hes a big sports nut at Clemson and loves his machine.

I am not a sales person or a rep.  I am simply a business owner that loves a quality product and quality support.

This is one of those rare products that actually does more than they advertise.

GET ONE AS SOON AS YOU CAN!!!!!

I too can,t afford a new one, though I wish I could, but I stumbled on a Sidewinder 2200. Its a '60s model but in very good condition. If you are looking to get an older one I wouldt recomend any older that the 3600. there are still alot of them around and more information on them... The medien price on e-bay seems to be apx. $150.00.  BUT, be carfule look at the sellers info., ask questions, see what it comes with and DOESN"T.

someone was going to put a "vintage vita-mix" group up, but hasn't yet... keep looking it....

    Greetings,

I'd like to list a couple of possibilities for you which may help you to purchase a newer Vita-mix. I just purchased mine a month ago from Vita-mix and am grateful to have been able to purchase a Reconditioned machine at a discounted price.

*****NOTE******I also looked at the older Vita-mix machines for sale on ebay. Then, I decided to join the Vita Village forums and see what other possibilities were available. THe main reason I decided NOT TO BUY on ebay was that I learned that the Vita-Mix company no longer sells replacement parts for the older machines. ALSO<most older machines, as great as they are, would have no seven year warranty, unless someone was selling one purchased within the past six-plus years.  OKAY. what next?

    1)  THere is the PAYMENT PLAN available for a three month pay option. This way you can spread your payments over three months and still get NEW or RECONDITIONED. You pay $15 for utilizing the Payment Plan, which is added to your first payment. We pay tax on all machines...this is added in, too.

    2)  I found somewhere here in the forums about the 'medical necessity' possibility. If a person needs this machine as a medical necessity (there are a broad range of reasons why someone would need this machine to assist in their health issues), they can qualify to purchase a Reconditioned Model 5200 machine at a reduced rate. It still comes with the starter DVD and cookbooks. I'd suggest contacting Vita-Mix Customer Service (I originally talked with a lovely lady whose name is Janet, and continued to work with her through the week long process of getting this all worked out.) WHAT IS GREAT ABOUT THIS OPTION IS that you can still choose to pay with the three month payment plan. SO, my first payment was $164. The second and third payments are each $82.

What you do is get the doctor's office to fax a note from the doctor's office on their letterhead or prescription pad stating your diagnosis and that this machine is a 'necessary piece of equipment'.

I hope that it is alright with Vita-Mix that I share about this Medical Needs possibility, as this can help SOOOOO, SOOOOO many folks who otherwise are wondering how to ever afford one of these wonderful machines which can be of so much benefit to them.

I hope this helps you and others who may be ready to purchase and are looking for payment possibilities.

    MANY BLESSINGS,

    Everfresh

  • Vita Mix Drink Machine

Hello - Ive recently purchased a vita mix drink machine from craigs list as a new one is not in my stars right now and I am having a hard time finding any info on them.  it was purchased new in 2007, its a 2 speed without the timer that i think they have on them now. I just wanted to find out if I am able to do mostly all the same things with this model that can be done with the newer model.
i fell in love with my mothers, and have been using it but it is the newest model. anyone have any info or advice? that would be great!
