Wow, this forum is sort of dead, isn't it? I'd love some smoothie recipes, too, especially veggie ones that are DELICIOUS (not nasty like most green drinks).

You need to go to the main Vita-Mix page www.vitamix.com to see recipes as well as the groups section of this site.  Choose the recipe group.

  • good smoothie recipe

1-2 cups vanilla flavored almond milk (you can follow the almond milk recipe on the VM website and add a dash of vanilla)

    1 peeled banana

2 cups of fresh spinach leaves

    1 Tbsp of flaxmeal (optional)

    2-3 cups of frozen blueberries

This reminds me of the Odwalla blueberry monster drink (I think that's the name of it but not sure), only making this is so much more fresh and yummy.

Don't understand why so many people are frustrated with not finding good recipes when there are so many on line resources....there's a smoothie template chart on the VM website, the cookbook and VM website recipe search has several recipes,  there's a yahoo vitamix users group to join where they share tips/recipes/answer questions from personal experience, the vitamixlady.com website for her favorite recipes, etc...and there are several postings on this website for recipes

  • my favorite green smoothie recipe

I've had my vitamix about 5 weeks and LOVE it! I mainly bought it to continue a vegetarian lifestyle and be sure I was getting nutrients. This is my favorite recipe right now.I drink it during the middle of the day each day. This makes enough for 2 days.

2 oranges (peeled & seeded) OR 1 mango

    1 red delicious apple

    1 small slice of ginger

    2 stalks celery

    1 juice carrot

3 kale leaves (I don't use the stems)

    2 collard leaves

    2 cups spinach

    4 stems flat parsely

    1 cup cold water

  • good green smoothie

I really like the sailor man recipe in the vitamix binder you get with your machine! It has spinach, yogurt, grapes, apple, banana, and pineapple
