Rollins family loves Vita Mix!
We use the Vita Mix every day, all day long. From soups, to shakes to salsas.
With seven children, and a grandbaby, we are always making something yummy to eat. Of course we want to stay healthy and have lots of energy to play and have fun thats why we use our vita mix.
Shannon Lee explains the green smoothie. Recipe and customer testimonials included.
Vitamix was again a sponsor of the annual WGAR concert "Guitars for Girls,” a benefit fundraiser concert for the Susan G. Komen Foundation for breast cancer research, education, screening and treatment which was held October 27, 2009. Cleveland’s country music station, WGAR, joined Cleveland Clinic, VitaMix, and Lorain County Community College to help raise nearly $28,000 for the Komen Foundation! Entertainment consisted of an up-close and personal acoustic set with 3 country music stars.
The Vitamix demo table was a popular stop for concertgoers who loved our famous Pink Ribbon Smoothie that we were making. If you would like the recipe, go to the Vitamix Breast Cancer page http://www.vitamix.com/household/Health/breasthealth.asp#recipes
Vitamix was also invited to a meet & greet with the performers who included Richie McDonald, formerly of Lonestar, James Otto and Chuck Wicks (who was on Dancing with the Stars!) It was a great concert and we enjoy being a sponsor for this event.

I had to share this with all of you. I thought it was so neat! Check out this Vita-Mix machine that came in for repair. The customer lives in Florida and must be some kind of artist…how creative is this? We thought it was so neat. The VitaMix employee in repair thought it would be neat to share on Vita-Village with all of you. If you have a creative machine please share your photos with us. We would love to see them. Last year, we had a visit from an Affiliate who brought in her black Vitamix machine to get it autographed by several of us who work here. It was really cool signing the machine I felt like a celebrity! People just love their Vitamix machine…
Send in your pictures and stories.

She met with other women determined to become survivors in their own fight against Cancer.

Here is a recipe Carr recently promoted that uses the Vita-Mix machine, her blender of choice! Click here for Carr's website

Here is a note from the authors: Put flax and milk thistle in blender. Blend until powder-like. Add one cup of water and continue blending. Add fruits and vegetables, then slowly add additional water while blending. Blend until liquefied, or until smoothie has reached desired consistency.
In my new book, Do You Have the Guts to be Beautiful?, I discuss that much like the food and drug industries, the beauty industry is full of false information about what's "healthy". Dr. Jennifer Daniels, a Harvard educated MD, is working with me and has shared her secrets to maintaining or regaining youthful skin. She and I start every morning with a Green Drink, and I'd like to invite you to try it.
Dr. Daniels and I both use a Vita-mix, which is a super-powered blender that can puree whole foods, including skins, stems, stalks, and other bits that are nutrient dense. However, this can also be made in a food processor or regular kitchen blender. The recipe is open to experimentation -- try other greens and fruits as well. I like using frozen banana, and frozen red, seedless grapes. Also, it helps to use chilled, filtered water. Making it cold makes it taste better and stay fresh longer. You can refrigerate up to 24 hours, but I like to drink it when it's at its most fresh.

What we eat and how we look are closely linked. We are what we eat! Smooth, soft, skin, for example, is an indicator of radiant health that starts with nutrition and works it's way out to create our external beauty. The state of our hair, eyes, nails, etc are all indicators of our body's wellness. Through the consumption of more fresh fruits and vegetables in smoothies, soups, and other recipes that use whole foods, we are able to positively affect our looks by revitalizing our health. Using a Vita-mix streamlines the means to make a healthy diet a reality in our busy lives as it bridges a much-needed divide between our diet and our good looks. -Dr. Mitra Ray
