    When I used to demonstrate and sell cookware, we would remove burned on food by simmering a baking soda solution in the pot for a few minutes then letting it cool off.  Then sponge and rinse.  Probably about 1 tablespoon of baking soda in a quart of water would be appropriate.  Whirl it as in the instructions for cleaning with dish detergent.  I haven't tried this in my VitaMix, but it gets stainless steel and glass pots very clean.

    Performed 2 twenty minute sets on Saturday and Sunday at Hart Plaza.  It was 90 degrees but my energy stayed high.  I love the dance and count it an honor to dance for audiences.  The dance is healing to the dancer and the viewers as well because it brings joy.

    I don't think you can get the container replaced. I see it this way: this shorter container is a better design because it's more square shaped. The bigger containers are more narrow at the bottom, which makes it harder for to get the little bits out at the bottom. With the shorter container and more squarelike design, it's easier to clean and spatula things out.

    Thank you for your response, Matt, but I've been a Vitamix owner since 1988 and a 5000 owner since 2004. The machines in the 5000 series (which includes the current 5200) operate and perform exactly the same as the 200 and CIA Pro Series machines, so I'm completely familiar with their operation. I really want someone at Vitamix to explain the differences in performance between those machines and the 500 Pro, i.e., how does variable HIGH on the 500 (with no "shifting of gears") compare to the "overdrive"
